Prominent Charlotte, North Carolina Entrepreneur and Author Martin Sumichrast Teams-Up With 12-Time New York Times Best-Selling Author Don Yaeger and Award-Winning Investigative Journalist Jason Cole.

Befriended by Charlotte mover and shaker Rick Siskey in 2013, Sumichrast was blindsided when the FBI raided the offices of Siskey Capital in late 2016, accusing Siskey of running an elaborate Ponzi scheme. Days later, Siskey would commit suicide, leaving Sumichrast to handle the fallout.

Getting Sheared is the result of hundreds of interviews with Siskey’s Victims as well as the discovery of tens of thousands of pages of never-before-seen evidence which will unveil who really benefitted, who looked the other way and who helped cover-up the fraud. Getting Sheared investigates who was Siskey’s “secret weapon” and how it was that no one was held accountable for this decades-long scheme. From the Casinos that lavished Siskey with Private Jets to Siskey’s lucrative life insurance business with one of the world’s largest insurance companies, Getting Sheared takes you inside the real-life drama that finally unveils for the first time the truth behind the lies of one of the largest and longest-running Ponzi schemes in North Carolina history.
